Morals

“I did what was neccesary, yet it hurts more than doing what would be wrong… but if it is neccesary, it must be done”
What’s a Moral?
why do we all have morals, and why do they always seem to be at the wrong place?
Morals… being it carrying your thrash to the nearest bin instead of simply dropping it, or being early to every meeting and important event.
Morals follow us everywhere, and even though you may claim to not have any, you most likely have atleast one thing you have to do in a certain way.
Your friend has shoplifted, what would you do?
report him, which would be the legally right thing to do.
or keep it a secret, putting yourself at risk for withholding information while keeping the moral of not cheating on your friend?.
tough question? most likely.
first thing you would think about it, is basically the care for your own self interest, and not being involved would seem to be the best way to keep your friend.
then, let’s say proof and other pieces of valid information and ofcourse, the punishment for withholding said information was made clear.
yet again, you would be in the pinch, and once again letting other interests take place, you would report him justifying it with the hope that your friend will realize his mistake and take lesson of it.
luckily, i have never been presented with that sort of problem.
although, admittedly i’ve had some myself.
another hypothetical scenario.
You knew, and had it proven that time, and time again, you were being a problem and hindering the development and progress of a friend of yours, you knew it and had proof to back it up with.
In order to do so, you started to act hostile and uncaring.
coming into regular arguments and hefty discussions, until you finally achieved your goal and had the person throw you away out of pure anger or annoyance.
what then?
did you ever think that this might have hurt the other person?
it can, and might happen with frightening regularity, but then again, you would be helping him achieve his goal without having to drag you and your problems around.
what some people don’t seem to understand, is how much it can actually hurt the person commiting the sin.
forgetting the fact the perpetrator is sacrificing alot too.
but then again, it’s easy to justify this by simply saying it was his/her fault to begin with.
